Alto Imaging is joining the PRP network

Alto Imaging is excited to be joining the PRP Diagnostic Imaging network, expanding services and access across the Hunter and Greater Newcastle regions. This exciting transition brings together two trusted names in radiology - both committed to patient care, clinical excellence, and supporting our communities.

PRP Diagnostic Imaging is one of Australia’s largest radiology groups, with 32 practices and a network of more than 1,000 dedicated professionals across New South Wales. PRP has a strong presence nearby with practices in Maitland, Charlestown and Adamstown. Joining the PRP network means expanding services and continuing to care for more patients across the Hunter region - while maintaining the same welcoming teams and quality care you know.

The Alto Imaging network practices located in Glendale, Mayfield, Salamander Bay, East Maitland, and Singleton will continue to operate under their current names and teams and Cessnock will be opening in late 2025 as a brand new PRP practice.

It’s currently business as usual for all referrers and patients. Joining the PRP network allows us to:

  • Expand access to advanced imaging services, local radiologists and further access to sub specialty expertise throughout NSW;
  • Strengthen collaboration across an integrated network of local technologists, and support teams;
  • Ensure clinical leadership remains at the centre of everything we do.

Together, PRP and Alto Imaging share a vision of innovation, clinical excellence, and patient-centred care - delivering comprehensive diagnostic imaging to the communities we proudly serve.

Please note: existing booking and referral processes, reporting systems and staff contacts remain the same across PRP and Alto Imaging while we integrate our business. Please direct any enquiries about the transition here
